Planting and Fruiting Specifications (Omani Mango)

Planting Season in Oman:

Golden Period: From October to March, when moderate temperatures allow the roots to establish themselves before the summer heat intensifies.

Secondary Period: Planting can take place in September and April, provided young seedlings are protected (shaded).

Fruiting and Harvesting Season:

Start of Production: Grafted seedlings begin to bear fruit (first production) 2 to 3 years after planting in their permanent location.

Harvest Season: The Omani mango season typically begins in late April (in warmer regions) and extends until July. The fruit pictured is at the "green maturity" stage, the ideal stage for use in making Omani pickles (known locally as "achar") or for allowing it to ripen and become sweeter.

Tip: Omani mangoes are known for their high resistance to local climatic conditions and their high yield compared to imported varieties.

Available height: 80 cm. The seedling's germination method, stem size and branching, and age may vary depending on the shipment.
